We differentiate between family tree, account and profile. All the data concerning people in your tree is stored in your profile. The family tree is formed from multiple profiles.

Your account is the login to your family tree and consists of your password and your email address.

If you delete your account, we delete all the data in your tree, unless more than one person is working on it. If more than one person is working on the tree then only your account is deleted, and others can continue building the tree.
