RSS feeds help you to keep up to date with your tree and our blog. An RSS feed shows you the headline of the latest news and a teaser of the text. To follow an RSS feed, you need an RSS reader. Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Thunderbird already have an RSS reader as part of the application. However, there are others like the Google Reader, Bloglines or My Yahoo.
To know if a website offers the RSS feed feature or not, you have to look for the tiny RSS logo in your browser’s address bar.
We offer RSS feeds for the family tree and the blog. To subscribe to the feed, click on the icon in your address bar and pick the RSS reader of your choice. The family tree RSS feed will show you the newest profiles in your tree and the blog RSS feed tells you about the newest blog posts.

The link to the RSS feed on the Firefox address bar doesn’t work if my interface language is set to Brazilian Portuguese. I see the following message:
“Esta função não está disponÃvel.
Você não tem autorização para efetuar esta ação.
Código de erro [schwester.0604.0900.1955]”
If I change the interface language to english, the RSS feed link works properly. When I change language, the feed URL has the same ‘feed’ argument, but the ‘control’ argument is different.
(I was going to post both URLs here so you could test them, but it seems that the site doesn’t asks for authentication on the feed URL, and I don’t want to risk exposing the data of all my family members to the world)
